Modeling pigment set - No. 2

Green Stuff World modeling pigments are ultra-fine powder pigments designed to add realistic weathering, dirt, dust, and aging effects to miniatures, models, vehicles, miniature bases, landscapes, and dioramas. Thanks to their high color concentration, you can mimic natural finishes such as dried mud, desert dust, caked-on dirt, rust, soot, ash, or industrial grime, transforming any clean surface into an object with more depth, history, and visual realism.

These modeling pigments can be applied dry with a soft brush for dusty and subtle effects, or mixed with water, acrylic thinner, mediums, or pigment fixers for more intense and permanent effects. This versatility makes them ideal for both quick weathering effects and more detailed applications on tank tracks, vehicle undercarriages, ruins, wargame bases, arid terrain, rusty areas, or combat scenes.

Thanks to their fine, easy-to-control texture, they are well-suited for layering, correcting excess paint, and combining with other techniques such as washes, oil paints, drybrushing, chipping, effect paints, vegetation, sand, or texture paints. On matte or slightly rough surfaces, they offer excellent visual integration, helping the miniature blend into its environment and achieving a more natural result in fantasy, science fiction, historical, military, railway, or diorama projects.

For greater longevity, particularly on miniatures intended for gaming or parts that are handled frequently, it is recommended to fix the pigments with a special fixing agent or a light layer of matte varnish. Because they remain stable and ready to use for a long time, these earth pigments are a practical and effective option for any hobbyist looking to enhance the realism of their bases, landscapes, and models with professional environmental effects.
